I’m gonna cry.
The kidney shroud is somehow pushing the fan grille into the new fan. Maybe it’s a shoddy ill-fitting aftermarket part, maybe I just over- tightened the bol ts on the shroud. Either way I have to pull the whole thing back apart to try and fix it. Next tim e I’ll have ti me for that is at least a week from now. That’s a nother week of no A/C, and another week of hoping the weather doesn’t get warm enough to make that fan kick on on its own.

Maybe hit it with a heat gun/hair dryer and pull it away from the fan? Couldn't hurt to try.

I can flex the shroud enough to make it not contact, it doesn’t take much. I think just backing out the bolts a bit will help it. Gotta remove the bumper to do that though and that took half an hour of uninterrupted cussing to put back on this morning.

Aw man, sorry to hear that. Been there before. Can you reach anything without taking it all apart to make adjustments? That’s a bummer. On the bright side, it won’t take nearly as long to get it apart the next time around.

And you called me a monster and a madman when I suggested removing the kidneys. Yet here it would’ve worked in your favor.

If I remove any kidneys it'll be to pay for an assassin to take you out
